Level 1 charging uses a standard 120V outlet and adds roughly 3–5 miles of range per hour — fine for plug-in hybrids but slow for most EVs. Level 2 chargers run on a 240V dedicated circuit and deliver 20–30 miles of range per hour, so most drivers wake up to a full charge. For daily EV use, Level 2 is the practical choice.
